Membership among the National Academy of Plastic Surgeon’s Top 10 list is meant to identify and highlight the accomplishments of the nation’s most esteemed and skilled Plastic Surgeons. While selection for any award, honor, or exclusive membership organization is always subjective in nature, we have developed a comprehensive multi-phase selection process to ensure that only the most skilled and exceptional Plastic Surgeons in the community are selected for membership.
Candidates for membership are initially identified through peer nominations by other elite Plastic Surgeons in the community or our research. Once a candidate is identified, they are carefully screened to assess a broad array of criteria and data for each candidate, including (but not limited to) the Plastic Surgeon’s career achievements, professional experience, peer reputation, patient satisfaction, other notable honors, media notoriety, and community impact.
Because of our stringent standards, less than 1% of Plastic Surgeons nationwide will receive this honor. Award membership includes list inclusion which can be verified by your current and perspective patients online, a customized crystal plaque to display this Top 10 Plastic Surgeon achievement, and a license to utilize the award and display the National Academy of Plastic Surgeons Top 10 award badge on your website or other venues.
